September 2026 Events in Stanwood & Camano Island

September around Stanwood and Camano is that funny in-between season where summer is technically still hanging on, but fall is already trying to take over.

School is back. Football is back. The mornings are cooler. And suddenly spending a Saturday at a farm, wandering a market, looking at old cars, or drinking cider sounds like an excellent use of the weekend.

So if you’re looking for things to do in Stanwood and Camano Island this September, here are a few local events worth putting on the calendar.

Stanwood Farmers Market — Every Friday in September

September 4, 11, 18 & 25 | 2:00–6:00 PM
Behind the Stanwood Police Station

If you haven’t made it to the Stanwood Farmers Market yet this year, September is your last chance.

The market runs every Friday through the end of the month with local produce, flowers, food, handmade goods, artisans, and community organizations.

This is one of those easy Friday-afternoon plans: wander through the market, grab something local, and then figure out dinner downtown.

And yes, buying something you absolutely did not go there for is basically part of the experience.

The City of Stanwood confirms market dates on September 4, 11, 18, and 25 from 2–6 PM.

Chrome & Classics Car Show

Saturday, September 5 | 7:30 AM–1:00 PM
Lincoln Hill Retirement Community, Stanwood

Cars, music, breakfast, raffles, and a reason to get out of the house on a Saturday morning.

The 2026 Chrome & Classics Car Show will feature everything from antique classics and muscle cars to imports, motorcycles, trucks, and custom builds.

Spectator admission is free, and there will also be a biscuits-and-gravy breakfast in the morning followed by lunch later in the day. Proceeds support Lincoln Hill Retirement Community’s Age in Place programs.

Even if you’re not someone who knows the difference between every engine under the hood, there’s something fun about walking through a really good local car show.

Camano Ciderfest

Saturday & Sunday, September 5–6 | 12:00–5:00 PM
Camano Commons

Okay, this one feels appropriately September.

Ciderfest is back at Camano Commons for two days of local cider, food, live music, and cider education.

Tickets include six tasting tokens, and there is also a non-tasting ticket option if cider isn’t your thing but hanging out at Camano Commons absolutely is.

Saturday’s live music features Rae Isla, while Scott D’Angelo performs Sunday.

Basically: apples + Camano + live music.

Kristoferson Farm Pop-Up Market

Saturday, September 5 | 10:00 AM–4:00 PM
Kristoferson Farm, Camano Island

If your ideal Saturday involves a farm stand and local makers, add this one to the list.

Kristoferson Farm is hosting one of its seasonal pop-up markets with locally handcrafted goods, vendor booths, and treats available at the farm stand.

This would also be very easy to pair with Ciderfest afterward if you’re trying to make a whole Camano day out of it.

Toy Boat Workshops on Camano Island

Saturdays through September 26 | 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
Camano Island State Park

This one is especially cute if you have kids.

Every Saturday through September 26, families can stop by the toy boat workshop and build a wooden boat to take home.

The workshop is hosted by the Cama Beach Foundation, and there is a $5 suggested donation.

It’s simple, hands-on, outside, and doesn’t require turning an ordinary Saturday into a major production.

Those are sometimes the best kid activities.

Touch A Truck

Saturday, September 12 | 10:00 AM–1:00 PM
Stanwood High School

If you have a kid who loses their mind when a garbage truck drives down the street, congratulations.

I have found your Saturday plans.

Stanwood’s free Touch A Truck event lets kids climb into and explore big rigs, construction equipment, emergency vehicles, and other specialty vehicles while meeting some of the people who operate them.

There will also be a no-horn quiet hour from 10:00–11:00 AM for kids who would enjoy the trucks considerably more without 400 horns going off around them.

Kristoferson Farm Cider Weekend

September 12–13 | 11:00 AM–3:00 PM
Kristoferson Farm, Camano Island

Apparently Camano has decided September belongs to apples, and I’m not arguing.

Kristoferson Farm will fire up its old-fashioned cider press for one weekend only, using apples grown right on the farm.

You can watch the cider being made and purchase fresh-pressed cider while supplies last.

This is the kind of fall activity that makes you want to immediately go home, light a candle, and pretend your entire house is clean.

Make a Day of It

One of my favorite things about living here is that none of these plans need to become a huge ordeal.

Go to the market.

Grab coffee.

Take the kids to Touch A Truck.

Spend an afternoon on Camano.

Stop somewhere local for lunch.

Go look at old cars with your dad.

Drink cider with a friend.

You can live a pretty good little life around here without constantly needing to drive somewhere else to find something to do.
