Stanwood Events August 2026: What I’m Putting on the Calendar

Stanwood Camano Windermere Parade August always feels like the month where we’re trying to squeeze every last drop out of summer.

The fair and parade may already be behind us, but Stanwood isn’t slowing down yet. There are still a few really good reasons to grab the kids, call some friends, and get out around town before we’re suddenly buying school supplies and wondering where summer went.

If you’re looking for Stanwood events in August 2026, here are a few things I’m putting on the calendar.

🎬 Movies in the Park | August 14 + 21

This is such an easy summer night.

Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and head to Church Creek Park for a movie under the stars.

Back to the Future is playing Friday, August 14, followed by A Minecraft Movie on Friday, August 21. Movies begin at dusk, usually around 8–8:30 PM, and there’s complimentary popcorn and bottled water.

I wouldn’t overcomplicate this one. Grab dinner beforehand, throw some sweatshirts and blankets in the car, and go.

🎶 STANFEST | August 15

If you’ve never been to STANFEST, put this one on your list.

The final STANFEST of the summer is Saturday, August 15 at Church Creek Park, featuring Saltwater Sky. Gates open at 5 PM and music starts at 6 PM. There will be food trucks, local vendors, a Kid Zone, and a beer and wine garden for the adults. Admission is free.

It’s another chance to spend a summer evening outside with people from around the community—and exactly the kind of event I love seeing happen here.

And yes, this one is especially close to my heart. ❤️

🎨 Meyer Arts Festival | August 29

End the month with some local art.

The Meyer Arts Festival is happening Saturday, August 29 from 10 AM–6 PM.

I’d make an afternoon out of this one. Walk around, see the artists, grab something to eat, and enjoy one of those days where you don’t really need an itinerary.

This is the part of Stanwood I love.

It’s easy for me to talk about houses here all day long—it’s literally my job. 😂

But Selling Stanwood has never felt like it’s only about the houses.

For me, it’s knowing what’s happening at Church Creek Park this weekend and running into people I know around town. It’s watching my kids grow up here while supporting the people creating things, building businesses, and bringing our community together.

Along the way, clients become neighbors, and neighbors become friends.

This is home.

That’s also why I want this little corner of my website to become somewhere I can share more of it. There’s so much happening around Stanwood, and sometimes the best parts are the simple, everyday things that make living here feel like living here.

So, welcome to Around Stanwood.

Real estate will definitely sneak in here. But you’ll also find the places, people, events, and little pieces of local life I think are worth knowing about.

If you’re newer to the area—or thinking about calling Stanwood home I also put together a guide to what it’s actually like moving to Stanwood.

After all, there’s a lot more to Selling Stanwood than selling houses.

I’ll see you around town. ❤️
